Jason Mraz – Im Yours w/ Lyrics(: Watch this vid; PLEASE!
If rain drops could speak they would say, Im Yours, to whatever they touch, animals, plants and other objects.
Rain drops are a gift that sustains life.
Listen to the music of the moment, rain drops are falling…
The above image and tag lines were inspired by the song, Rain Drops Keep Falling On My Head:

3. How is color used in the overall composition? Which colors dominate which reinforce the concept? How is color value used in composition? Be specific and use terms related to color.

Raymond,
I really love all the greens present in your composition – it gives off a very refreshing and clean feeling. The color green clearly dominates your composition, but the different values and hues evened it all out; it wasn’t over powering at all. The little yellow (different intensities of color) that was present enhanced the green leaves, as did the leaves to the water droplets. It’s clear that the rain water was sustaining the “greenness” and life of plants. Your message is clear and your use of value, intensity and hue really help convey your message.

2. What role does texture have in the composition?
I feel that the texture in this composition plays a big role in the perspetive of water and its importance. The close up of the raindrop gives detail to the entire picture and forces you overall focus to be on water. All so the different styles of plants adds textures by the showing the unique patterns of each plant. Also the spacing of each individual frame allows you to equally see each picture without getting lost.

1. How is value used in the composition? (Creates 3-d, use of light and dark, mood, contrast). Be specific, if value missing or weak include that also.
Value is well used in this composition. By using different values of green, Raymond creates a layering effect to many of the leaves. He also uses value to create the rounded three-dimensional effect of the raindrops. By having the brighter, lighter leaves in the foreground and darker, shadowed, less clear leaves in the background, he reiterates the focus of each of the individual pictures and reinforces the three dimensional quality. All in all it creates a very “peaceful forest” feel. Also, by using a different a different hue of the color green for the wording, he both makes the letters “pop” and keeps them tied to the rest of the composition. Well done!

3.Project 2 Critique – Color
How is color used in the overall composition? Which colors dominate which reinforce the concept? How is color value used in composition? Be specific and use terms related to color.
Color is used in this composition to add value and perception and the intensity of green is really apparent. The dominant color in this piece is definitely green. I really don’t see a lot of originality in this picture not very interesting. The use of only the one color made the picture look bland. I think that the incorporation of more colors could have really made this picture more fun.
